Negative Yields Are Coming to America

This post will be a little rant-y. FYI.

The 10 year U.S. Treasury yield, a widely followed benchmark for sovereign rates, is currently trading around 1.5%, which is a pathetic rate of return.

Imagine how shitty of a return that is, and how desperate for yield investors have to be to pay for something like that. $1,000,000 invested over ten years would give you $10,000 profit.

The answer lies in the fact that the rest of the developed world's debt has even worse yields, and banks are too stupid to cease their destructive monetary experiments to improve the situation.

Look at how insane this 10 year yield comparison chart is:

Yes that’s right, negative or less than 1% 10 year yields for half of the world’s top 10 year government bonds.

It’s only a matter of time before it’s all negative.

We are living in an upside down world, folks.

It’s time to wake up.
